Diary of a Puneri Kid- the book release

So, finally, after a lot of going back and forth between the members of the evaluation panel, we have the top 20 entries in each category. The book is ready and is being released on the 19th of November, 2011 at Nehru Memorial Hall at 10:00 AM.

We are also organizing our 1st ever Annual Inter School Quiz on the 19th. The day will start with the written prelims for the quiz followed by the book release at 10 AM.

Sidharth Agrawal, the City Director of Teach For India  has agreed to do the honors for us by releasing the book.

Sidharth joined Teach For India as Fellow in its first cohort in 2009 and decided to join the TFI staff after graduating from the 2 year Fellowship. Before that he has worked as a senior consultant at Genpact (strategy and operations). He received an MBA from S.P.Jain Institute of Management Research in 2006 and a Bachelors in Economics and Maths from Fergusson College in 2002.

It is indeed our privilege to have Sidharth do the book release – in fact, it is going to be a day out with young Leaders for us – Ramanand, the Quiz Master is the youngest Mastermind India winner and Prashant Karhade is one of the youngest publishers around. Guess these are the best people to go with the stars of the day – the 60 young writers and the top school quizzers.

We are all quite excited about the book and  can feel the same excitement among the young writers whose entries have been published. Those who missed out on this set of 20 – don’t fret. We have some other exciting plans for your submissions as well.

So if you are in Pune and have been following the progress of Tender Leaves/ Diary of a Puneri Kid, it will be our pleasure to have you at the book release on the 19th.
