Kid’s popular mysteries

Miss Marple's Final Cases

What are they?

We’ve all grown up, and are familiar, with the usual suspects – Agatha Christie, Nancy Drew, Scooby Doo, among others.

But what are the kids’ favourites? Percy Jackson? Hardy Boys?

Surely there are more. Give us your answers.

And the best ones will feature on the blog and get spoken about on Facebook too.

  1. They are probably famous no more, but when I was a kid, The Three Investigators stories were probably the best set of mysteries featuring American teenagers – they had interesting plots, no side-tracking romantic interludes, and Alfred Hitchcock.

    • Yes, The Three Investigators was a natural progression after munching on the Famous Five for few years. More serious amateur sleuths is how we’d describe them.

Thanks for bringing the series to our notice Ramanand. We’ll try and get a few copies.

one of the best kiddie mystery books have been the Barney Mysteries (Rockingdown Mystery, Rilloby Fair Mystery and so on) by Enid Blyton. I would think that’s the best Blyton series written, with good plots, good humour and good endings.
